The death of Willie Dupuis of East Memramcook occurred at Dr. Georges Dumont Hospital in Moncton Monday (15 avril) after a short illness. He was 82.

Born in East Memramcook, he was a son of the late Honoré and Elizabeth (Sonier) Dupuis. He was a retired CNR employee with the bridge and building section. His wife, the former Bella LeBlanc, died some 10 years ago.

Surviving are seven daughters, Elizabeth, at home, Mrs. Russell Shea (Osithe) of Dorchester, Mrs. Willie Bourgeois (Marie) of West Memramcook, Miss Délia Dupuis and Mrs. Gérard Therrien (Lorraine), both of Montreal, Mrs. Phillipe Gaudet (Léona) of East Memramcook, and Mrs. Alphonse Gaudet (Doris) of Fox Creek; four sons, Alyre, Willie, Ronald, all of East Memramcook and Alvérie of Moncton; three sisters, Mrs. Délia Durrell of Berry, Vt., Mrs. Fred LeBlanc (Vitaline) of East Memramcook, and Mrs. Exelda Dupuis of Memramcook Lake.

The body is resting at Dupuis' funeral home in Memramcook with mass to be celebrated on Thursday at 3 p.m. at Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Roman Catholic Church in East Memramcook. Entombment will be in the St. Thomas parish cemetery vault in St. Joseph for burial later in the spring.
